Enrich any ceremony with ‘The why’
When you consider it, it’s entirely possible to marry, have your child named or renew your vows without anyone explaining why it means so much to do it. So I designed ‘the why’: a reflective section, written with your words, that offers insight and adds significance to any ceremony script.
It also presents a valuable opportunity to talk about your emotions, motivations and expectations with one another, sometimes for the first time in such depth.
When you express why a ceremony matters, it not only develops your relationship with it, but makes witnessing it so much more meaningful as well.
Any of my 350+ testimonials verify this – both from the point of view of the clients, before, during and after their day, and their guests.
I tend to ask clients to answer questions privately and jointly (if applicable), meaning both your individual voices and shared perspective comes through the text.
I’d then take your responses and interweave them, creating a written passage that could be comfortably accommodated by any Registrar or Vicar within any ceremony.
The fee I’d charge for your ‘Why’ would likely be decided by how many contributors we have, how complex the writing is and how long.
When life throws them challenges clients often say they’ve turned to this: writing that anchored a particularly happy memory for them. It means that much.
